ROCHESTER & SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Bonadio Group announced it has appointed partners Michael Parrinello and Jeffrey Trubia to serve as construction team leaders in the accounting firm’s Rochester and Syracuse offices, respectively.

The firm said its growing work in the construction industry led to the appointments.

“The continuing strength of our construction practice calls for smart and experienced team leaders, and we definitely have those attributes in Mike Parrinello and Jeff Trubia,” Tom Bonadio, CEO and managing partner of the Bonadio Group, said in a news release.

Parrinello joined the Bonadio Group in 2005 and was elected partner in 2015. He is a CPA, received his bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Rochester in 1999, and earned an MBA with concentrations in finance and accounting from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester in 2004.

Trubia joined the Bonadio Group as partner in 2015 when the firm merged with Syracuse–based Testone, Marshall and Discenza. He has more than 16 years of experience offering expertise in accounting, tax consulting, and business management to a diverse for-profit client base, the release stated. Trubia graduated from Le Moyne College in 1996 and is a CPA and a member the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, he serves as treasurer for MedTech, the Subcontractors Association of Central New York, and the Central New York Soccer Officials Association.

Founded in 1978, Rochester-based Bonadio Group says it is one of the 40 largest CPA firms in the country. It has New York offices in Albany, Batavia, Buffalo, East Aurora, Geneva, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, and Utica, as well as Rutland, Vermont.
