Bond, Schoeneck & King hires Fousek as chief information officer

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC announced it has appointed Joseph L. Fousek as its chief information officer (CIO).

Fousek will oversee the Syracuse–based law firm’s IT, e-discovery, and information services departments.

Fousek previously was the CIO at Fredrikson & Byron, a law firm based in Minneapolis. He also previously was the associate director of IT at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and also worked for many years at the Quarles & Brady firm in Milwaukee. Fousek is a graduate of Marquette University.

“Joe brings more than 25 years of experience leading law firm IT departments. He has demonstrated success in strategy development, budgeting, project management, and staff management across all areas of IT,” Kevin Bernstein, chair of Bond, Schoeneck & King’s management committee, said in a release. “With technology an ever-growing focus for the firm and for our clients, Joe’s leadership will be a critical component of our firm strategy.”

Bond, Schoeneck & King has 250 lawyers in a broad range of practice areas. The firm has nine offices in New York state, as well as locations in Naples, Florida and Kansas City.
