The Syracuse startup BrandYourself.com has opened an office in New York City, it announced today.

BrandYourself.com, which aims to help users improve their online reputations by managing their search-engine results, opened the office in Google’s building at 111 Eighth Ave. That structure is home to offices of several other startups, including the digital music service Spotify and the real-time event-coverage provider Livestream.

“We are growing quickly,” BrandYourself.com CEO Patrick Ambron said in a news release. “And as we continue to hire and increase revenues, I can’t think of a better place to cultivate our company culture than [New York City]. The community here is smart, resourceful, and hungry.”

The company has raised more than $1.2 million in funding and registered 120,000 users since launching its product in mid-March. Earlier this year, the startup also was named the “Best Bootstrap” at the 2012 SXSW Accelerator event in Austin, Texas.

BrandYourself.com has eight employees. The firm incubated in 2009 as part of the Student Sandbox program at the Syracuse Technology Garden in downtown Syracuse. It then became a regular tenant headquartered at the Tech Garden.
