SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Breeze Airways on Tuesday announced that it will be adding its fifth nonstop route from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) with seasonal service to Fort Myers, Florida.
The new route will begin Nov. 17 on Mondays and Fridays with fares starting from $59 one way, if purchased by July 24, Breeze Airways said in its Tuesday announcement.
With flights out of SYR, Breeze also flies to Charleston, South Carolina; Las Vegas, Nevada; Norfolk, Virginia; and Tampa, Florida.
“We’re thrilled our partner Breeze will further expand their footprint here in Syracuse with the addition of this seasonal service to Fort Myers,” Jason Terreri executive director of the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority, said in the Breeze announcement. “This route restores convenient nonstop connectivity for our Syracuse travelers to this highly sought after Southwest Florida destination.”
“This will be our second nonstop route from Syracuse to Florida and we hope that it will allow our guests to more easily and affordably travel to and from the gorgeous Sunshine State,” David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, said.
Breeze offers its guests both bundled and ala carte options known as “Nice;” “Nicer;” and, on flights operated with the Airbus A220-300, “Nicest.” The Nicest bundle includes Breeze Ascent, two checked bags, and free snacks and beverages, “including alcohol,” Breeze Airways noted.
