BRENDAN FLAHERTY has joined the Boy Scouts of America Longhouse Council as the Crossroads District executive, serving Syracuse, Eastern Onondaga County, and Eastern Oswego County. He was previously a scouting professional in the Seneca Waterways Council, headquartered in Rochester, where he worked as a district executive of the Bay Waters and Western Gateway Districts in Monroe County, and as council program director. In the latter role, he served as reservation director for Massawepie Scout Camps in Tupper Lake. Prior to his professional career in scouting, Flaherty was a member of the program as a youth and volunteer in Rochester, achieving the rank of life scout and working eight years on summer camp staff at Massawepie Scout Camps. He is a graduate of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse with a degree in forest ecosystem science.
