BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — New York State Police in Binghamton recently arrested a 26-year-old man accused of burglarizing residences in the town of Windsor this summer.
In August, troopers were dispatched to a burglary at a residence on Scouten Hill Road in Windsor. The residents reported the incident after finding that the house was broken into and items were missing.
In September, troopers were once again sent to the area for a reported burglary in progress after a neighbor heard glass breaking. A male was located in the area by a Broome County Sheriff’s deputy a short distance from the scene; he was interviewed by troopers but not arrested.
An investigation by members from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation ultimately revealed that the man that was located in the area in September was in fact the suspect in both cases, State Police say.
On Nov. 19, investigators and a trooper arrested John T. Flora, age 26 of Windsor, at his residence. He was charged with the felony of burglary in the second degree for each case. Flora was transported to the State Police station in Binghamton for processing, then taken to Broome County central arraignment and processing.
