BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Broome County playgrounds, basketball courts, and athletics fields reopened on Friday, June 12, after County Executive Jason Garnar lifted an emergency order that had been in place since March due to COVID-19.
Those using the reopened facilities must still adhere to state guidance on social distancing and gatherings of no more than 10 people in order to prevent spread of the coronavirus, Broome County said.
Beaches at Greenwood Park in the town of Lisle also reopened on Friday and will be open from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., seven days a week. Beaches at Nathaniel Cole Park in Harpursville also continue to be open.
