State Police announced they arrested Lisa Stevens, age 48 of Glen Aubrey, for 2nd degree grand larceny, a felony.
State Police conducted a several month-long investigation that revealed that Stevens collected over $50,000 from several victims, after promising to make travel arrangements for them. Those travel plans were never made and victims of the scam called State Police. Stevens was arraigned at Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.
The case is continuing, State Police say. Investigators believe there may be more residents in the area that have not yet come forward. People who believe they may have been a victim are asked to contact the New York State Police at the Binghamton Bureau of Criminal Investigations at (607) 775-1452.
