Broome County woman arrested for grand larceny after scamming victims out of more than $50K

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The New York State Police on Tuesday arrested a Broome County woman for scamming several people out of more than $50,000 for travel arrangements she promised to make but never did.

State Police announced they arrested Lisa Stevens, age 48 of Glen Aubrey, for 2nd degree grand larceny, a felony.

State Police conducted a several month-long investigation that revealed that Stevens collected over $50,000 from several victims, after promising to make travel arrangements for them. Those travel plans were never made and victims of the scam called State Police. Stevens was arraigned at Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.
