SYRACUSE — The law firm Bond Schoeneck & King of Syracuse has added six attorneys with a strong statewide long-term care practice.
The move was effective Jan. 1. The new lawyers joined Bond from Ruffo Tabora Mainello & McKay, P.C. (RTMM) of Albany. They joined Bond’s health-care team and will provide the nucleus of a new long-term care practice group, according to the firm.
Two of the new attorneys, David Ruffo and Raul Tabora, will co-chair the new group. The others joining Bond are Mark Mainello, John McKay, John Darling, and Damien Bielli.

The group serves long-term care providers like nursing homes and assisted living facilities in areas including business restructuring, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, employee benefits and executive compensation, labor and employment law, and government relations, according to Bond.
The attorneys, who were located at offices in Albany, Pittsford, and Lake Success, will join Bond’s offices in Albany, Rochester, and Garden City. Bond, with more than 200 attorneys, has additional offices in Buffalo, Ithaca, New York City, Oswego, Utica, Overland Park, Kan., and Naples, Fla.
“RTMM has developed an outstanding reputation across the state for excellence in serving the needs of the long-term care industry,” Richard Hole, chairman of Bond’s management committee, said in a news release. “The addition of these attorneys builds upon the strengths of both Bond and RTMM to deliver a broader, more comprehensive range of services for health care providers throughout the state.”
