I am extremely disappointed that President Obama decided to reject the Keystone XL pipeline. The pipeline provided an excellent opportunity for the President to show the American people he is serious about creating jobs and moving the United States toward energy independence.
What this country needs are job-creating initiatives as well as an energy policy that reduces our dependence on oil from the Middle East. The President had an opportunity to address both issues and he failed to do so.
The Keystone XL Pipeline project is a proposed 1,700 mile pipeline that would bring 700,000 barrels of oil a day from Canada to the U.S.
