Buffalo–area collision shop expands into CNY

CICERO, N.Y. — Carubba Collision Corp., which operates several auto body shops in Western New York, has opened a location in Cicero, its first in Central New York.

Joseph (Joe) Carubba, company president and CEO, announced the opening in a news release issued Wednesday.

The new Carubba Collision shop operates at 7313 Northern Boulevard at the corner of East Taft Road in Cicero, the company said.

Yves Pierre-Louis, who has been in the body shop business at Carubba Collision in Buffalo for eight years, is the local store manager, according to the news release.

Carubba called the CNY expansion a “very exciting opportunity” for the company.

“It is our desire to bring that same high level of quality auto body service to the Central New York region that our customers have enjoyed for so many years in Western New York,” Carubba added in the news release.

The Cicero shop will eventually employ more than 30 people, the company said. The new facility will also include a location of Enterprise Rent-A-Car and “multiple” insurance companies to handle customer claims, it added.

“The initial investment in our new Syracuse location is over $2 million,” said Carubba. The company also expects to “invest in other sites and expand operations even further in the Central New York area.”
