Canadian teen retailer Garage set to open store in Destiny this fall

SYRACUSE — Garage, a Montreal–based retailer of clothing geared primarily toward teenage girls, plans to open a new store at Destiny USA this fall.

The retailer will occupy a 3,400-square-foot space on Destiny’s first level, near Forever 21.

Garage, which was founded in 1975, has more than 300 stores across Canada and worldwide. The company entered the U.S. market in just the last three years.

“We’re thrilled to introduce this Canadian retailer to Destiny USA,” Sara Wallace, director of marketing at Destiny USA, said in a news release. “This is Garage’s first location in Central New York and it will be an additional draw for our Canadian visitors who are already so familiar with the brand.”

Garage offers denim and stylish fashion for teen girls and the young at heart. “When you walk in their door, you can expect great music, buzz-worthy looks and a fun, comfortable space to relax with friends while discovering the latest trends,” the news release states.

Garage has seven other locations in New York state, including upstate New York venues at Crossgates Mall in Albany, and Walden Galleria in Buffalo, both owned by Pyramid Management Group.
