SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: TAST) announced it has completed the acquisition of 17 Burger King restaurants in Western Pennsylvania in and around the Pittsburgh and Johnstown markets.
The transaction closed Tuesday, Carrols said in a news release.
Carrols has purchased 49 restaurants so far in 2016, it added.
Syracuse–based Carrols is the largest Burger King franchisee in the U.S. and has operated Burger King restaurants since 1976.
Carrols currently operates 755 Burger King restaurants in 16 states, including 65 in Pennsylvania, the company said.
