Carrols completes acquisition of six Detroit–area Burger King restaurants

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: TAST) on Thursday announced it has completed its acquisition of six Burger King restaurants in the Detroit area.

The transaction closed on Tuesday, Carrols said in a news release.

This latest acquisition follows Carrols’ Dec. 9, 2015 announcement that it had acquired 23 additional Burger King locations in the Detroit market on Dec. 1.

Syracuse–based Carrols is the largest Burger King franchisee in the U.S. and has operated Burger King restaurants since 1976.

As of Thursday, Carrols operates 722 Burger King locations, the company said.
