LANSING, N.Y. — Cayuga Health says laboratory services are now available at its location at The Shops at Ithaca Mall at 40 Catherwood Road in the village of Lansing

It means patients can now get lab work done in the same building as the newly consolidated primary care, cardiology, and rheumatology offices, per its announcement.

Cayuga Health says it included labs in the new facility to provide “seamless coordination” for patients at the new medical practices.

“The new laboratory services at Cayuga Health at the Ithaca Mall exemplify our commitment to patient convenience and integrated care,” Jeffrey Penoyer, COO of Cayuga Medical Associates, said in a news release. “By offering lab work in the same location as our primary care, cardiology, and rheumatology services, we streamline the healthcare experience for our patients and enhance their access to timely medical attention.”

The Shops at Ithaca Mall location has available parking and is located on a bus route, “providing increased accessibility” for all patients. The site is also a short drive from downtown Ithaca, Cayuga Medical Center, and other Cayuga Medical Associates practices, the organization noted.

The new lab will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding major holidays. Lab services will continue to be available at other current Cayuga Health locations as well.

Cayuga Health at Ithaca Mall opened in March. The more than 60,000-square-foot space consolidated several practices into one location.
