CAZENOVIA, N.Y. — Cazenovia College and SUNY Schenectady County Community College announced they have signed a new transfer agreement focused on bachelor’s degrees in education.
The pact gives graduates of SUNY Schenectady’s associate-degree program in teacher education the opportunity to pursue their bachelor’s degrees in education from Cazenovia College. Under the agreement, Cazenovia will offer bachelor’s-degree courses at SUNY Schenectady’s Center City site, located in downtown Schenectady.
“We’re excited about this partnership that enables education students to earn a Cazenovia College bachelor’s degree while studying at SUNY Schenectady,” Ron Chesbrough, president of Cazenovia College, said a statement. “Our sought after education programs are accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) and lead toward New York State initial teacher certification. With the experience of offering similar degree programs at other community colleges, we are pleased to now be an option for SUNY Schenectady students to continue their coursework at the familiar and convenient Center City site.”
