CDPHP hires new VP of health-care network strategy

Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan, Inc. (CDPHP) has named Michael Grodus as its vice president of health-care network strategy.

The move puts Grodus in charge of leading network strategy at the Albany–based not-for-profit health plan. He will also be responsible for developing payment models that lower costs while encouraging better care and improved health for plan members.

Grodus has worked in the health-care industry for more than 20 years, most recently as director of network development and contracting at Michigan–based Priority Health. In that role, he was in charge of payment-reform reimbursement strategy, provider network strategy, and negotiating and contracting.
