UTICA, N.Y. — The Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE) in Utica announced it has appointed Alyssa A. Sacco as its new executive director.

Sacco brings more than eight years of experience in marketing, event organization, recruitment, and team leading to the role. Her prior positions include having served as director of volunteer services and guest relations at Mohawk Valley Health System, according to Saccos LinkedIn profile.

Ms. Saccos authentic ability to build connections and her mission-driven approach align with CLEs values and commitment to continue engaging professionally with active members of the Mohawk Valley, CLE Board President Jessica Watson said in a news release.

Sacco holds a bachelors degree in public relations from Utica University, where she served as president of the Public Relations Student Society of American Club, a columnist and staff writer for the school-run newspaper the Tangerine, and co-hosted a radio show featured on WPNR.

The Center for Leadership Excellence says it works to develop effective and engaged leaders in all areas of the community. It offers annual training experiences for a diverse group of individuals with initiatives including Leadership Mohawk Valley and Board Leadership.

To say Im honored and humbled to set the standard in defining what leadership means at its core would be an understatement, Sacco said in the release. As a community, our stories of success will continue for generations only if we consciously decide to rise to the occasion and authentically help those around us write the blueprint.
