SYRACUSE — CenterState CEO and the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce announced a new partnership today, the CenterState Chamber Alliance, that will bring the organizations closer together.
Members of both groups will have access to savings programs on office supplies, human resources, and energy. They’ll also be able to take advantage of networking opportunities across the region.
Training and education will be available to all members as well.
The two groups will maintain their local identities, management teams, board control, member relations efforts, and services. They will actively market each other’s programs and events and promote cross-member participation, according to CenterState CEO.
The Mohawk Valley Chamber has been working with CenterState CEO affiliate Benefit Specialists of New York to provide health benefit services for the past three years, Pamela Matt, Mohawk Valley Chamber executive director, said in a news release.
“Our members will see tangible benefits — from exclusive cost savings opportunities to connecting with potential new partners and clients — plus, by working cooperatively, we are better positioned to speak with a unified voice for business and grow a stronger regional economy,” she said.
CenterState CEO, based in Syracuse, is the result of a merger between the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and the Metropolitan Development Association of Syracuse and Central New York. It has 2,000 member companies.
The Mohawk Valley Chamber, based in Utica, represents about 900 businesses.
“CenterState CEO and the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce have a history of collaboration in both advancing regional economic development and service and value to our members,” Jane Amico, vice president of chamber services at CenterState CEO, said in the release. “This partnership is a natural extension of those efforts, creating even greater opportunities for collaboration, new member connections, and an expanded platform of services to help businesses grow.”
