CenterState CEO reveals Business of the Year finalists

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — CenterState CEO has announced the 15 finalists in the five categories for its annual Business of the Year honor.

The economic-development organization will name the winners during its annual meeting at the Oncenter in Syracuse on April 2.

CenterState CEO listed the 15 finalists in an email it sent to its membership on Thursday.

Cayuga Milk Ingredients, LLC of Port Byron; Felix Schoeller North America of Richland, an image-paper manufacturer; and Sutherland Global Services of Syracuse, a business-process outsourcing firm, are the finalists in the “More than 50 employees” category.

CenterState CEO lists Empire Brewing Company of Syracuse, engineering / design firm Sullivan, Bazinet, Bongio, Inc. (SBB) of DeWitt, and Ultimate Arrival of Syracuse as the finalists in the “Less than 50 employees” category.

Rome–based credit union AmeriCU, Syracuse–based Solon Quinn Studios, and Syracuse Media Group are the finalists in the “Community Involvement” category.

Clear Path for Veterans, OCCRA, and the Rescue Mission are the finalists in the “Not-for-Profit” category.

CenterState CEO also lists the DeWitt–based construction firm CHC Group, Inc., the Law Offices of Jose Perez, PC of Syracuse, and Tony Baird Electronics, Inc. of Syracuse as the finalists in the “Minority Owned Business” category. It presents the “Minority Owned Business” award in partnership with the Upstate Minority Economic Alliance.

CenterState CEO selected the finalists from a pool of more than 70 member businesses that submitted applications for the honor, Robert M. Simpson, president and CEO of CenterState CEO, said in the email message.

“These companies are models of success for their innovation, dedication to our community, and job creation,” he said.
