SYRACUSE, N.Y. — CenterState CEO on Wednesday launched a new podcast series it calls Talk CNY.
The new semimonthly podcast series will share the organization’s latest news and information on topics that include community and workforce development, policy, and innovation, CenterState CEO said in its announcement.
It will feature leaders from across Central New York to “shine a spotlight on the growth and opportunities happening in the region.”
“This community is on an exciting new growth trajectory. Through this podcast, business and community leaders, and the public, can learn about the dynamics contributing to this progress and how it’s reshaping the place we call home,” Elle Hanna, CenterState CEO senior VP of marketing and communications, said. “The average commute time across Central New York is about 15 minutes, and each podcast is the same length, so in just two commutes a month you’ll get inside access to the people, projects and planning that are moving this region forward.”
The first episode — The Central New York Economy in 2023 — includes an extended-length conversation with CenterState CEO President Robert Simpson who shares his thoughts on the regional economy; the optimism expressed by local businesses leaders and how the Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: MU) effect creates an urgent need to “take a long-term outlook.”
“This new podcast will serve as a great resource for area professionals and leaders to tune in to the conversations that are on everyone’s mind as our region undergoes this exciting renaissance,” David Kavney, regional president of NBT Bank, said. “NBT Bank is honored to play a role in supporting this initiative and we look forward to the great dialogue to come.”
NBT Bank is the presenting sponsor of Talk CNY.
The series is now available on all major podcast platforms; on CenterState CEO’s website and its member platform, called Click. Additional business-focused podcasts will go direct to the Click resource channel for members and businesses to access. Click is CenterState CEO’s interactive digital chamber service where members connect, learn, and receive support.
“After each episode listeners can join us on Click to chat about the topics and speakers, and get additional relevant resources,” Andrew Fish, CenterState CEO senior VP of member and business experience, said. “We know Talk CNY will be an incredible resource for the community and help showcase the work of CenterState CEO and its members. We are excited for people to listen and have this kind of front row access to all of the incredible things happening in the community.”
