CenterState CEO: TCGplayer.com, the Digital Hyve among businesses of the year

More than 1,000 business and community leaders gathered at the event held at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center at Oncenter in Syracuse, CenterState CEO said in a news release issued Thursday.

TCGplayer.com was recognized in the “More Than 50 Employees” category, while the Digital Hyve was the honoree in the “Less Than 50 Employees” category.

Founded in 2006, TCGplayer.com describes itself as an “online collectible gaming marketplace that connects buyers and sellers,” according to its website.
The company has “doubled in size each of the past four years,” and has a local workforce of more than 140 people, including designers, developers and marketers, according to the March 30 news release the company issued.

the digital hyveThe Digital Hyve, a Syracuse–based digital-marketing agency, “was selected based on customer satisfaction, financial performance, innovation, employee satisfaction and commitment to the community,” the company said in a news release issued Thursday afternoon.

The firm has 17 full-time employees and wants to hire three more in the next two months. It also opened a second office in Rochester back in November.

Besides TCGplayer.com and the Digital Hyve, CenterState CEO also recognized M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB) as the business of the year in the “Community Involvement” category.

The organization also honored Catholic Charities of Onondaga County in the “Nonprofit” category.

CenterState CEO also honored Cueva Contract Inc., which does business as Interior Innovations, as business of the year in the “Minority-owned Business” category. CenterState CEO presented the Interior Innovations award in partnership with the Upstate Minority Economic Alliance.
