Central New York Surgical Physicians joins Crouse Medical Practice

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Central New York Surgical Physicians, PC, (CNYSP) has joined Crouse Medical Practice (CMP), effective Feb. 1, Crouse Health announced.

It didn’t release any financial terms of the agreement.

The practice continues to offer services that include breast, endocrine, gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery. Moving forward, the practice will be identified as CMP – General Surgery. “Recognizing Crouse’s growing” bariatric surgery program, that part of the practice will be identified as CMP – Bariatric Surgery.

Established in 1997, Central New York Surgical Physicians says it is the area’s largest private multispecialty surgical practice, providing care to more than 6,300 patients annually. The practice has with 12 physicians and four advanced practice providers.

“We have been in discussions with CNY Surgical Physicians for some time and are looking forward to having them be a part of the growing Crouse Health family,” Dr. Carl Butch medical director of Crouse Medical Practice, said.

CNYSP will continue to maintain its current locations in the CNY Medical Center at 739 Irving Avenue; 8324 Oswego Road in Clay; and 436 Hinsdale Road in Camillus.

“With CNY Surgical’s move to CMP, we continue to position Crouse Health for continued growth by enhancing access to vital healthcare services for Central New York patients,” contended Dr. Seth Kronenberg, COO and chief medical officer of Crouse Health.

Formed in 2010, Crouse Medical Practice is a multispecialty physician practice with multiple locations in Onondaga County and 94 clinical providers covering primary care; cardiology; endocrinology; pulmonary and sleep; neurology; neurosurgery; neuroendovascular and interventional spine and pain management.
