ELMIRA, N.Y. — The Chemung County Chamber of Commerce and Elmira Downtown development Inc. have joined forces for Restaurant Week Chemung, a 10-day event dedicated to promoting local restaurants in Chemung County.
The restaurant week, taking place March 18-27, offers 10 days of specials, deals, and food.
“Now more than ever our locally-owned restaurants and businesses need our community’s support,” Chemung Chamber President and CEO Jennifer Herrick-McGonigal said in a press release announcing the event. “Restaurants have been hit hardest by the pandemic, and this event is designed to help generate business, especially during the slower months.”

Participating businesses to date include Anthony’s Restaurant, Bell’s Country Coffee, Campus Pizza, Curly’s Chicken House, Downtown Grind, Elmira Tea & Coffee House, Harry’s Inn, Hill Top, Los Panchos, Meg’s Cheeseboards, Rye Bar & Restaurant, Tanino Ristorante Italiano, and Turtle Leaf Café.
As other participating restaurants are added, they will be listed at www.chemungchamber.org/restaurant-week.
It’s free for restaurants that are Chemung Chamber residents to participate in Restaurant Week. Not-yet members can participate for a $125 fee. As a bonus, their participation fee includes a year-long chamber membership at a discounted rate.
