Chemung Financial shareholders re-elect directors

ELMIRA — Chemung Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: CHMG), the holding company of Chemung Canal Trust Company and CFS Group, Inc., announced last week that its shareholders have re-elected four members to the company’s board of directors.

Re-elected to the Chemung board were: Ronald M. Bentley, president and CEO of Chemung Financial and Chemung Canal Trust; Robert H. Dalrymple, vice president and secretary of Dalrymple Holding Corp., a supplier of rock products located just south of Elmira; Clover M. Drinkwater, partner in the Elmira–based law firm of Sayles & Evans; and Richard W. Swan, chairman of the board of Swan & Sons-Morss Co., Inc., an insurance and financial-services firm headquartered in Elmira. Each director was re-elected for a three-year term. All directors of Chemung Financial are also directors of Chemung Canal Trust.

Bentley joined Chemung Financial in July 2006 and was first elected to the board in March 2007. Dalrymple has served as a director since 1995. Drinkwater joined the board of directors in 2005, and Swan has served as a director since 1984.

Chemung Financial was incorporated in 1985 as the parent holding company of Chemung Canal Trust, a full-service community bank with full trust powers. Established in 1833, Chemung Canal Trust Company says it is the oldest, locally owned and managed community bank in New York state. Chemung Financial is also the parent of CFS Group, Inc., a financial-services subsidiary offering non-traditional services including mutual funds, annuities, brokerage services, and insurance. CFS Group was founded in 2001.
