NEW BERLIN — The latest project for the Greek yogurt maker Chobani is Chobani SoHo, a yogurt bar that opened July 25 in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood.

“This has been my dream since we first started Chobani in 2005,” company President and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya said in a release. “I’ve always wanted to bring our brand to life in a new way and deliver a unique experience for our fans. Our goal has always been to make simple, high-quality yogurt available to everyone, and Chobani SoHo will bring us one step closer to making this happen.”

The store serves a variety of items featuring Chobani Greek yogurt as the core ingredient. The menu includes non-frozen yogurt creations mixed with seasonal ingredients such as toasted coconut, pineapple, nuts, dark chocolate, and honey. The store also carries a variety of Chobani flavors in 6 or 32-ounce containers as well as seasonal fruits, Mediterranean specialty oils, nuts, and more from its Mediterranean pantry.

The company, based in Chenango County, also debuted its Water for Water brand of water. The company contributes 100 percent of the profits from each bottle sold to its Shepherd’s Gift Foundation to fund clean drinking water projects.

“This is the first time Chobani fans will be able to experience our brand in a Chobani-owned physical environment, so it was important that the store design, overall appearance, and specific neighborhood reflects who we area,” Annette McGuinness, chief image officer for Chobani, said. “The physical space was crafted to be unique and special like our yogurt, and SoHo was selected because it’s authentic, dynamic, and global like Chobani is as a company.”

Located at 150 Prince St., Chobani SoHo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
