SALINA, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office announced that on Wednesday afternoon it arrested a suspect in Monday’s Bank of America robbery in the town of Salina.
Detectives charged 31-year-old Robert Barclay, of Larchmont Drive in Cicero, with 3rd degree robbery and 4th degree grand larceny. Barclay is accused of entering the Bank of America branch off Route 11 and Lawrence Road in Salina and demanding money from the teller.
After the robbery, the suspect fled the scene in a light-colored sedan, heading south on Brewerton Road. The Sheriff’s Office said he did not threaten or display a weapon and no one was injured during the robbery.
Detectives say they identified Barclay as the suspect based on witness accounts along with other evidence.
