Clarkson becomes satellite of SU assessment center

POTSDAM — Clarkson University is now a satellite of the Syracuse University (SU) Industrial Assessment Center.

SU’s L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science received a renewal of an award to continue the efforts of the center, which trains students in manufacturing efficiency. The center is being funding by the Department of Energy

It assists small and mid-sized manufacturers in evaluating their energy use, manufacturing productivity, and waste generation, according to Clarkson. It has helped more than 200 New York manufacturers in the past 11 years.
