SYRACUSE — Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announced that it has named Rick Yacobush as market manager for Syracuse, effective Jan. 1. He will take over for Joel Delmonico, who is retiring at the end of the year after more than three decades in local radio.
Yacobush has more than 38 years of experience in radio in the Syracuse market — five years as on-air personality “Rick Charles,” 15 years as an account manager, and 18 years as a sales manager, according to a Clear Channel news release. Yacobush has been recognized nationally as a two-time winner of Radio Ink Magazine’s Director of Sales of the Year.
“We are very excited to have Rick Yacobush lead the extremely talented Clear Channel Media and Entertainment team in Syracuse,” Kevin LeGrett, senior vice president of operations, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment — Northeast, said in the release. “Rick’s sales leadership over the last 18 years has led to unprecedented performance. Clear Channel Media and Entertainment reaches more people in Syracuse than any other media and Rick’s unique ability to maximize our assets will allow us to serve the community as well as our advertisers in a multi-platform fashion.”
