CLINTON, N.Y. — The Clinton Farmers’ Market has opened for its 26th season and is available every Thursday through Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Clinton Village Green.

The market features more than 40 vendors from across the region with locally grown fruits, vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, meats and cheeses, maple syrup, baked goods, honey, jams and jellies, and more. In addition, vendors also offer a selection of handmade arts and crafts items including jewelry, clothing, and photography.

The Kirkland Town Library offers story time in the gazebo along with a youth market, game tables, and tech help. Musicians will perform in the gazebo throughout the market season.

The farmers’ market accepts EBT SNAP benefits for the purchase of fruits, vegetables, plants that produce food, bread, meat, fish, poultry, dairy products, maple and honey products, baked goods, jams, sauces, and soups. The market also operates a SNAP-based incentive program called FreshConnect to help increase the purchase power for SNAP customers. For every $2 of SNAP benefits redeemed, customers receive an additional $2 FreshConnect coupon.

The Clinton Farmers’ Market also received a Health and Wellness Award from Excellus BlueCross BlueShield to support the Power of Produce (POP) Kids’ Club at the market. Kids up to age 12, accompanied by an adult, can stop at the Clinton Chamber of Commerce Information Tent to sign up. Each day they visit the market, kids receive two $1 tokens to purchase fresh fruit or vegetables, encouraging them to make healthy choices and learn about their local food system.
