SYRACUSE — The Central New York chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (CNY SHRM) has announced the details for its annual one day conference.

The event, entitled “Sharpen Your Skills:  Cutting Edge HR Strategies,” is set for June 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel near Carrier Circle in DeWitt.

People can visit the organization’s website, www.cnyshrm.org, to register for the conference, CNY SHRM said in a Wednesday news release.

The event gives human-resources professionals and other business leaders the chance to learn more about industry developments, according to CNY SHRM. It also provides legal and legislative updates.

The conference has two keynote speakers including Louis DiLorenzo, a labor and employment law attorney with Syracuse–based Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC and Mary Schechter, president of The Intuitive Organization of Tully.

Schechter is a consultant on employee performance and corporate change, according to her LinkedIn page.

Besides the keynote speakers, the conference also includes three sets of breakout sessions on various topics.

CNY SHRM members, non-members, and students are welcome to attend, the organization said.
