DeWITT, N.Y. — Community Bank System, Inc. (NYSE: CBU) has opened its newest branch at 5821 Bridge St. in DeWitt.
The new 4,600-square-foot office is located about one mile from the banking company’s headquarters in the Widewaters Business Park, it said in a news release today.
Community Bank System in late February first announced its plans to build the branch.
The company’s banking subsidiary, Community Bank NA, in January bought a 1.5 acre property at the intersection of Bridge Street and Widewaters Parkway.
The Bridge Street branch is the third Community Bank office in Onondaga County — the other two are in Cicero and Skaneateles.
The new DeWitt branch, which manager Robert Liedka leads, provides personal and business banking and wealth-management services. The location has drive-thru service and an ATM.
Community Bank System has $7.4 billion in assets and more than 190 branch offices. Community Bank, N.A. operates across upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania. Other subsidiaries include Benefit Plans Administrative Services, Inc., the CBNA Insurance Agency, Community Investment Services, Inc., and Nottingham Advisors.
