Community Foundation fund established in DiMeo’s memory

UTICA, N.Y. — The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties has announced a new fund, in honor of a longtime economic-development leader, supporting workforce and community-development initiatives.

The family of Steve DiMeo, who passed away in March, established the DiMeo Family Fund to support programs and projects that strengthen the local workforce and break down barriers to success for students and employers.

DiMeo served as president of Mohawk Valley EDGE for 30 years, where he was a strong advocate for regional economic development.
