Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton names new CEO

HAMILTON — Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton announced that it has appointed Sean Fadale as new CEO, effective Aug. 6.

Lawrence Tully, chairman of the board of directors at the hospital, stated in a news release that the appointment was made after a nationwide search to replace David Felton, who is retiring after more than 31 years as Community Memorial CEO.

Fadale is an experienced hospital administrator whose background includes a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Mercyhurst College and a master’s degree in physical therapy and MBA from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. He is currently vice president of operations at the Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.

Fadale, as hospital CEO and president, will report directly to the hospital board of directors. Through an affiliation with Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, which is expected to be completed by late summer, he will also report to Crouse Hospital’s President and CEO Paul Kronenberg, M.D.

Felton will continue as Community Memorial CEO until Aug. 6 and then be available as a resource for hospital administration moving forward, the hospital said in the release.
