CountryMax to open in DeWitt Town Center, which is now at full occupancy

DeWITT, N.Y. — CountryMax, a Rochester–area, family-owned retailer of farm and garden products, in November plans to move its current Manlius store to a new location at 3179 Erie Blvd. East in the DeWitt Town Center.

It had previously operated at 7031 Manlius Center Rd. That location closed in mid-August to prepare for the move to the new DeWitt venue, CountryMax said in response to an email inquiry from BJNN.

The 20,000-square-foot store will operate between Par’s Indoor Golf and Sky Zone Trampoline Park, the Icon Companies said in a news release.

The Icon Companies is a Syracuse–based real-estate leasing representative for the DeWitt Town Center.

The CountryMax deal means the DeWitt Town Center is now “100 [percent] leased,” the Icon Companies said.

The firm said it started its work two years ago to “revitalize and fill the long vacant shopping center” formally known as Hechinger Plaza.

“The shopping center was in rough shape and had been almost completely vacant for the better part of a decade,” said Grazi Zazzara, president of the Icon Companies, said in the release. “Our team at Icon developed a proactive marketing and leasing strategy and put it into action. It was a concerted effort, and in under two years, we have signed 10 new tenants for a combined 170,000 square feet.”

The center’s tenants also include Time Warner Cable, which operates a 55,700-square-foot office for its business-services center; Harbor Freight Tools; Five Guys Burgers; Pella, a retailer specializing in windows and doors; “Herb” Philipson’s, retailer of products for the “great outdoors;” Jreck Subs; Cricket, a cell phone retailer; and Mathews Salon.

The property also includes a free-standing location of Taco Bell.
