Cowboys Saloon & Grill to open at Destiny USA in early 2016

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Cowboys Saloon & Grill, a “western-themed” bar & grill, plans to open a location at Destiny USA in early 2016.

It will operate in a 14,000-square-foot venue in the mall’s Canyon area, Destiny USA said in a news release.

Cowboys Saloon & Grill will take over the space that Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill previously occupied, Aiden McGuire, Destiny USA’s director of marketing, told BJNN in a follow-up email.

“Cowboys Saloon is the perfect venue for families and friends to get together in a fun, classic western-themed environment with the added excitement of live music from big-name artists,” Rob Schoeneck, general manager of Destiny USA, said in the release.

BG Capital Group chairman Bobby Genovese and Cowboys Saloon founder Anthony Perera jointly own Cowboys Saloon & Grill.

“Both Syracuse and Destiny USA represent tremendous opportunity for the Cowboys Saloon brand,” Genovese said in the Destiny USA release. “From Destiny USA’s central location in the heart of New York to its strong regional tourism draw, we couldn’t be more thrilled with bringing Cowboys Saloon to such a great city, Syracuse.”

Syracuse will be BG Capital Group’s fifth Cowboys Saloon location. Additional sites include Phoenix, Arizona; along with Gainesville, Ocala, and Davie, Florida.

BG Capital Group Limited and BG Capital Management Corporation are both based in Barbados with associate management offices in the Bahamas; Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Florida; Los Angeles; Toronto; and Vancouver.
