SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Crouse Health announced it has appointed Michael Tengeres as its new CFO, and the Rochester native will begin his new duties April 30.
Tengeres is replacing Kelli Harris in the CFO role, Robert Allen, VP of communication & government affairs at Crouse Health, said in an email response to a BJNN inquiry. Harris “left for another opportunity,” Allen said.
Harris’s LinkedIn profile indicates she left Crouse in December, but it lists no new positions since then.
In his role at Crouse, Tengeres will oversee all financial aspects of Crouse’s delivery network, including finance, revenue cycle, purchasing, and oversight for facilities.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Michael’s caliber, background and expertise join the Crouse leadership team,” Kimberly Boynton, president and CEO of Crouse Health, said in a news release. “The depth of his financial leadership at leading healthcare organizations will be invaluable to Crouse as we continue to expand our network and strategic affiliations.”
Tengeres most recently served as corporate VP and CFO at Bassett Healthcare Network in Cooperstown. In that role, he oversaw the health-care system’s financial operations, including long-range forecasting, as well as operating and capital-budget development.
Prior to joining Bassett, Tengeres was senior director for international finance operations for the Cleveland Clinic, where he helped establish the financial operations for the clinic’s operations in Abu Dhabi. He has also held leadership positions with MedStar Health System in Baltimore and Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, Crouse Health said.
