Curtin, until recently the associate director of Binghamton’s Small Scale Systems Integration and Packaging Center (S3IP), previously was the university’s director of federal relations and a senior grant and contract administrator.
“The [research] division welcomes her back after seven years with S3IP,” Bahgat Sammakia, vice president for research, said in a news release.
Curtin, a Binghamton University alumna who holds a bachelor’s degree in biology as well as master’s degrees in biology and teaching, will oversee strategic initiatives as well as the university’s Organized Research Centers. She will be responsible for all research space planning for the campus.
