DeWITT, N.Y. — Danlee Medical Products, Inc. of DeWitt today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire SonicBrite, a brand that is focused on the cleaning and disinfecting of dental appliances.

Under the agreement, the SonicBrite brand will operate as SonicBrite, LLC, a subsidiary of Danlee Medical Products, Inc., the DeWitt firm said in a news release.

Danlee Medical didn’t release any financial terms of its acquisition agreement.

The firm has been “exploring the possibility” of a new business venture for several years, Joni Walton, founder and president of Danlee Medical Products, said in the news release.

SonicBrite represented an acquisition opportunity that aligned with Danlee Medical’s “existing resource stance, position in the marketplace and product offering,” she added.

“This investment represents an important strategic opportunity for us to offer a value add product to the dental industry,” said Walton.

Danlee Medical anticipates the SonicBrite product will be available within 30 days, according to its news release.

The DeWitt firm bought SonicBrite from sisters Cindy Cooper and Michelle Keib. The dental-product distributor operated in Liverpool.

The sisters equally owned Smile Brite Distributing, LLC, the company that distributes SonicBrite, according to an article in the Nov. 25, 2005 article in The Central New York Business Journal.

Founded in 1994, Danlee Medical Products, Inc. is a provider of medical and cardiology supplies.
