DAVID ABERNETHY has joined AmeriCU Credit Union’s mortgage team. He brings more than 20 years of mortgage-lending experience and will be working with loan applicants in the North Country counties of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin. As a mortgage executive, Abernethy will focus on guiding credit-union members through the mortgage process, from prequalification to closing, the Rome–based credit union announced. AmeriCU Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution with total assets of $2.7 billion and 20 financial centers that serve more than 164,000 members in New York and beyond.
