Del Lago Resort & Casino begins construction on sportsbook

SOSH Architects, which is headquartered in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is the lead architect on the project.

DraftKings Sportsbook at del Lago will occupy the former Vine Restaurant and Bar location.

The more than 6,000 square-foot lounge will be located on the casino floor near the entrance to the Vine showroom. The sportsbook will include a restaurant and bar, with seating for nearly 200 people.

Guests can watch games on terminals or on the “nearly floor-to-ceiling” video-display walls.

When available, players can place their bets at one of the 20 self-service wagering kiosks or at one of the DraftKings cashier stations, del Lago said.

The sportsbook will also include odds boards, which will provide real-time updates and opportunities for in-game wagers, per the news release.

“We are excited to begin the construction of our new sportsbook and offer this additional amenity for our guests,” Lance Young, vice president of gaming operations, said in the news release. “This next phase in construction marks an incredible step forward for del Lago Resort & Casino. We are working closely with our partner DraftKings to ensure the lounge is truly a remarkable, state-of-the-art experience for our guests.”
