TYRE, N.Y. — Del Lago Resort & Casino plans to open its doors to the public on Feb. 1, 2017 in Tyre in Seneca County.

Company officials and local dignitaries will hold a formal-opening event at the casino on Feb. 1.

However, the resort’s 205-room hotel, banquet facility, and spa won’t open until next summer, Del Lago said in a news release issued Monday.

Del Lago boasts the $440 million project has “stayed on time and on budget.”

Del Lago, which means “of the lake,” will serve as a “gateway” to the Finger Lakes region, the company said when it announced the name change from Lago to del Lago back in March.

The venue includes 2,000 slot machines and 85 gaming tables, including 10 poker tables, according to the release.

Del Lago also includes a 4,200-square-foot food court with three restaurants: Ciccino’s Pizzeria & Paninoteca, Smashburger, and Moe’s Southwest Grill.

The casino and resort also includes The Vine, a 2,400-person entertainment venue that will also serve as a separate restaurant and bar; Centrifico, a bar and lounge area located in the center of the gaming floor; and Savor New York — MacKenzie-Childs at del Lago, a 2,000-square-foot store featuring MacKenzie-Childs and Jay Strongwater products, along with products made by companies based in the Finger Lakes, including local wineries, breweries, spirits, and cheese.

MacKenzie-Childs, a luxury home-furnishings company, is headquartered in Aurora in Cayuga County. Jay Strongwater is MacKenzie-Childs’ sister brand.

Rochester–based Wilmorite, Inc. owns and operates del Lago Resort & Casino.
