SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A Delta Air Lines Airbus plane went off a taxiway at Syracuse Hancock International Airport shortly after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The 61 passengers on board secured their luggage and returned to the terminal building, Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) said in a statement about the incident. SRAA operates the Syracuse airport.
The flight and cabin crews also exited the aircraft and returned to the terminal building. No injuries have been reported, and the incident had no impact on airport operations, SRAA said.
The aircraft involved is a Delta Air Lines Airbus A220-100 operating as flight number DAL1718, SRAA noted.
A Delta Air Lines aircraft-recovery team specializing in responses of this nature was sent to the Syracuse airport to deal with the situation.
