Destiny to get eight new stores in deal with international retail group

SYRACUSE — Destiny USA announced today that it would get eight new stores this year from retailers that are new to the United States.

The Retail Group of America (RGA), the U.S. unit of Saudi Arabia–based retail giant Alhokair Fashion Retail, says it will bring European–style fashion brands Lipsy, Jennyfer, Monsoon, Suite Blanco, Cortefiel,  Zippy, Promod, and New Yorker to Destiny.

The brands range from men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel to footwear and accessories.

The new locations at Destiny are part of a larger deal that RGA has made with Pyramid Management Group malls in New York state including Walden Galleria near Buffalo, Crossgates Mall near Albany, and Palisades Center in the Hudson Valley area.

The new stores at Destiny will be located throughout the 2.4 million square-foot mall and open at some point this year. Destiny didn’t provide a specific timetable.
