CICERO, N.Y. — SRC, Inc. announced it has appointed Kevin Devaney as director of systems engineering.

In his new role, Devaney will lead the strategic planning, growth, and management of the company’s systems engineering business unit. He will be responsible for overseeing all parts of the systems engineering function, including software development, system integration, testing, and production of key programs for SRC, according to a company release.

Devaney has been with SRC for more than 30 years and has led work on radar target tracking and classification programs, including the recent introduction of machine learning and neural network programming.

“Kevin’s experience in radar development and machine learning have been integral to the success of many programs at SRC,” Paul G. Tremont, president and CEO of SRC, said in the release. “We are glad to have him leading the systems engineering business unit as they continue to help solve our customers’ toughest challenges.”

Devaney earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Georgetown University and two master’s of engineering degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Syracuse University. He also holds a master’s degree in management and organizational development from Fielding Graduate University. Devaney is also a 2017 graduate of the Leadership Greater Syracuse civic-leadership training program.
