DoubleTree by Hilton completes “multi-million dollar” renovation

DeWITT, N.Y. — DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse has recently completed a “multi-million dollar” renovation project.

The 250-room hotel is located at 6301 State Route 298 near Carrier Circle in the town of DeWitt.

The renovations include guest rooms, public areas, and event spaces, the hotel said in a news release.

Tri-North Builders, a Fitchburg, Wisconsin–based construction-management company, led the renovation effort and “sourced most projects locally,” the company told BJNN.

Syracuse–based King + King Architects, LLP handled the design work on the project.

The renovation work started last November and finished in April.

Construction crews added a fireplace in the lobby area, a new restaurant called Seasons Tavern, and relocated the hotel bar.

Crews also expanded business and entertainment accommodations to include more than 16,000 square feet of “flexible and functional space” for weddings, “milestone” celebrations, corporate functions, and networking events.

The renovations also included a 3,000-square-foot expansion to the hotel’s front ballroom, taking it from 1,500 square feet to 4,500 square feet to accommodate larger events and meetings, the release stated.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse also built out a 1,500-square-foot patio, an outdoor space with weather-resistant furniture, located off the original ballroom.

The hotel said the purpose of the renovations included appealing to “a new generation of business and leisure travelers” and allowing them to “socialize, meet and interact in a relaxed environment.”
