CLINTON, N.Y. — Dreamy’s Candy shop in the village of Clinton on Tuesday formally opened with a ribbon-cutting event.

Amity Messett and her family, who also own the Rainbow Cupboard Plant and Gift Shop, own Dreamy’s Candy, which opened to customers on Nov. 11 at its 11 West Park Row store in the village.

Dreamy’s offers 54 varieties of chocolates, acrylic cubes of gummy candy, truffles jellybeans, and more than 40 other types of confections.

“Rainbow Cupboard opened in October 2020 in the middle of a pandemic and has been very successful, so we were pretty confident that opening Dreamy’s Candy in this beautiful town was a great idea,” Messett said in a news release. “I mean, who doesn’t love candy?”

The candy shop held its ribbon cutting with the Clinton Chamber of Commerce.

Dreamy’s Candy is open Wednesday through Friday from 12-6 p.m., Saturday from 12-5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
