Dumac Business Systems appoints chief operating officer

“This is an exciting time for Dumac,” Howard McCarthy, CEO of Dumac Business Systems, said in a release. “Joe’s vast experience and decadesof key management roles in operations and technology will provide the leadership to set the course for achieving high growth, while maintaining our leading position in the industries we serve. Joe has been an integral part of Dumac and has taken responsibility for many aspects of our business already with excellent results.”

Jurich most recently served as president and CEO of Retailer Owned Research Company (RORC), acquired by Dumac in August 2015. He led the development of the RORC software that is now part of the systems that Dumac has deployed at customer facilities across North America and South America.

Jurich has also held several management and senior management positions in information technology, market research, production, warehousing, and transportation. He has a “strong background in supply chain management and understands the critical role POS systems play in the process of buying, distributing, and selling products,” per the release.

Jurich holds a bachelor’s degree in operations management and MBA degree from Loyola University of Chicago.

Dumac, founded in 1952, is headquartered at 19 Corporate Circle in DeWitt. It also has operations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Indiana, according to its website. The company employs 320 people across the U.S.
