Energy company NOCO opens Syracuse office

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — NOCO, an energy company headquartered in the Buffalo area, on Monday opened an office at 1300 Wolf St. in Syracuse.

The firm is calling it the NOCO East office, which is part of the company’s “continued growth east across New York.”

“Having provided commercial fuels services throughout Central New York and east for over 20 years, by establishing a physical Syracuse presence, NOCO can now offer both commercial and residential customers with its complete energy and sustainability portfolio,” EJ Docteur, NOCO’s Syracuse general manager, said in a release. “In the next couple of years, we are focused on growing our customer base, our operations and our geographic reach from the Watertown and the Adirondack regions to Binghamton and the Southern Tier as well as continuing our push east into Albany and the Capitol Region.”

The NOCO East office currently employs 11 people and is now hiring for drivers, HVAC technicians, and sales positions. NOCO anticipates tripling the number of employees at its Syracuse office within the next two years.

n addition to providing commercial and residential fuels, NOCO also offers natural gas and electric, along with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) sales and service. In recent months, the company has been adding to its sustainability portfolio through energy-efficiency consulting, community solar, and waste recovery.

Last fall, Docteur sold Glycol Blender, a Syracuse–based glycol supplier and recycler company to NOCO. The glycol unit continues to focus on producing high-quality commercial and industrial HVAC glycol plus heavy-duty and automotive-engine coolants under its MAXTECH glycol brand.
