eSavvy Tech Shop opens at Syracuse airport

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A new electronics store called eSavvy Tech Shop opened Friday morning at Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

The shop is located in the North Terminal after the security checkpoints, according to a news release from the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority.

The eSavvy Tech Shop is an electronics shop owned by Paradies, Inc., an Atlanta-based company that says it’s the largest U.S.–based airport concessionaire. It operates about 550 stores in more than 75 airports and hotels across the U.S. and Canada.

The eSavvy Tech Shop sells electronics and accessories for traveling, including headphones, cases, and adaptors. It carries brands such as Beats by Dre, Panasonic, and Skull Candy.

It’s Paradies’ third eSavvy store in the country — the Hartford and Denver airports are the other locations. It’s also the fourth Paradies store at the Syracuse airport — the other three are CNBC Smartshop, The New York Times Book Store, and Say Si Bon.

“This proprietary concept has been extremely well received by the industry and we are excited for the Syracuse passengers and staff to experience the store’s unique design, wide range of electronics and accessories, and award-winning customer service,” Gregg Paradies, president and CEO of Paradies, said about eSavvy Tech Shop in the release.

Christina Callahan, Syracuse Hancock International Airport’s executive director, said she expects Paradies to be successful with eSavvy the way it has been with its other three stores at the airport.

“All of their locations have been very successful here and we are sure eSavvy will be no different,” she said in the release.
